Born in Midleton, East cork, Susan grew up close to the woods and the Ballyannon estuary, inspiring and influencing her creativity.
Her love of art continued as did her love of travelling, eventually settling in Scotland where her journey into ceramics began training as a slip caster and developing further into wheel throwing and hand building.

In 2006, Susan relocated back to East cork. She opened her town studio, teaching and selling her pots.

She has worked under the wing of master potters, also spending time focusing on her skills in India and Japan.

Susan has exhibited with ceramics Ireland, the Society of Cork Potters and Midleton arts Festival. She has created work for local restaurants, developed numerous community clay projects and won the 2019 footprints award for her contributions to arts in the community.
