Spring Awakenings
A 4‑Week Pottery Course for Adults
Fridays, 10:30am–12:30pm
Starting April 17th
€195 — all clay, glazes & firings included
Maximum 6 participants
As spring unfolds and the world begins to brighten, join us for a gentle, hands‑on pottery course that celebrates renewal, creativity, and the quiet joy of making. Over four relaxed Friday mornings, you’ll explore clay through projects inspired by the season’s sense of growth and possibility.
What we’ll make
- A botanical‑impression vase or lantern
Using fresh spring plants and soft slabs, create a textured vessel that captures the delicacy of new growth.
- Organic “seed pod” pinch bowls
Small, expressive forms shaped by hand — perfect for holding treasures or simply bringing a touch of nature indoors.
- A small thrown piece on the potter’s wheel
Try your hand at the wheel and create a simple cup or bud vase with lift and lightness.
Whether you’re completely new to clay or returning with experience, this course offers space to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and enjoy the simple pleasure of working with your hands.
Held in Susan Herlihy’s pottery studio in Midleton, Co. Cork — a warm, welcoming space where creativity meets community.
